Volunteer Outreach Test

What's the Project?

Discuss the mission of Ready Tech Pro in any appropriate forum. Find someone who seems genuinely interested in our mission, and invite them to check out our website and join our Slack community. Write a short, generalized report on your experience.

Project Requirements

  • Discuss the general ideas behind Ready Tech Pro's mission and current development in an appropriate forum.

  • Meet and talk one-on-one with an individual who seems interested in hearing more. Try to genuinely connect with one person who seems the most interested in the ideas.

  • Share our website with someone who is interested in contributing to our development, invite them to check it out and join our fledgling Slack community.

  • Complete and submit this project report form with general details about your experience to help us improve this avenue of our outreach.

Who should Apply?

  • Have you already completed a Volunteer Project for us? Consider applying for a less-sensitive project first.

  • Applicants should be comfortable communicating closely with admin volunteers on our Slack community. Applicants should also be familiar with our goals and comfortable presenting them.

  • This project needs a careful approach in order to avoid any unwanted, uncomfortable solicitation.

  • Can you genuinely connect with strangers in a way that doesn't feel pushy? Can you patiently wait to present certain specifics to the right person until they ask for more details?

How have we prepared to make it easy to help?

  • This project is more variable than some of the other Volunteer Projects, and therefore may require more guidance after you apply. Admin volunteers are ready to help you think through the best ways to execute this project.

How will we implement your completed work?

  • The report you submit about your experience will be used to improve this avenue of our volunteer outreach.

  • Learn more about how we can personally recognize your contribution.

  • If you are comfortable doing this work, you may want to repeat this project again. Improve the process with each new attempt.
